The arenas, presentation, and so on just has a tad more polish to it this year. At first glance, the game may not look all that different from NBA Live 2004, but the player's likenesses I feel are a bit more accurate this time around. The presentation of the game is great, People love to talk trash about EA, but they always make good looking games and this one is no different. All-Star Weekend also tied into you running your franchise in career mode as you could get invited to it which was neat.
Add to this the typical EA style of TV presentation and you have a really cool All-Star experience that had not been done before. However, you also the slam dunk contest, a three-point contest, and a cool rookie v sophomore game as well which was a lot of fun. This also isn't possible in 2K15 nowadays by the way, lol.You of course have the actual All-Star game which is cool. I love to think back playing the Playoffs on a hard difficulty with 3 other players in the same room while everyone controlled their favorite player in our team. I never had a better playing experience than with NBA Live 2004. Maybe add some online features to the game and you probably would have the greatest renewal of an older basketball game of all time! ^^ I just can speak for myself but I probably would plainly love it. I don't know how it is in the NBA Live series nowadays, but in NBA 2K15 you can't even use your (very) hard earned throwback players from My Team in offline modes in any way which is a crying shame if you ask me. Anyone also would love to play NBA Live 2004 again with its original gameplay with next generation graphics? I would buy this in an instant, lol! I think this game had the purest gameplay ever along with all those stars in their prime like Vince and T-Mac, KG, Kobe, Shaq, you get the idea.
